Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, leading an official Iraqi delegation on an official visit to attend the joint meeting between Iraq and Turkey on the water issue.
Fuad Hussein heads the Iraqi delegation, which includes Minister of Water Resources Awn Diab Abdullah, along with specialized staff from the Ministries of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Environment, as well as specialists from the Kurdistan Region. The delegation will participate in technical discussions related to water resource management and regulating its use to achieve the common interests of the two friendly countries.
This meeting comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between Iraq and Turkey and to discuss ways to manage water resources in a sustainable and equitable manner.
During the visit, Fuad Hussein is scheduled to hold meetings with a number of Turkish officials to discuss bilateral relations in various fields, particularly with regard to developing economic, security, and political cooperation between the two countries.
The Foreign Minister arrives in Ankara at the head of a delegation to discuss the water issue.
