The Ministry of Electricity revealed its proactive preparations for the summer of 2026 after announcing the readiness of the Wasit and Al-Quds thermal power plants.
The Ministry's official spokesperson, Ahmed Musa Al-Abadi, stated, "After intensifying technical and engineering efforts, maintenance of the Wasit thermal power plant has been completed in accordance with the annual rehabilitation plan, which will enhance the readiness of the national grid and enhance the stability of the electrical system."
Al-Abadi added that the maintenance phases of the Al-Quds thermal power plant have also been completed, increasing its operational capacity and enhancing the reliability of the national grid. He emphasized that these steps are part of the Ministry's efforts to ensure the continuity of electricity supplies and the stability of energy production in all regions.
