Today, Tuesday, Minister of Planning, Mohammed Ali Tamim, directed the completion of the establishment of an electronic platform for the services of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control.
A statement from the ministry stated that "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Mohammed Ali Tamim, chaired a meeting today devoted to following up on the procedures for establishing an electronic platform specialized in the services provided by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control."
During the meeting, which was attended by the Ministry's Administrative Undersecretary, Hanaa Al-Asadi, and representatives from the Legal Department, the Statistics Authority, the Central Organization for Standardization, and the Contracts and Information Technology Departments, the Minister of Planning emphasized that "the establishment of this platform represents an important step that contributes to controlling goods entering the country by subjecting them to prior inspection and ensuring their conformity with Iraqi specifications."
He pointed out that "the Central Organization for Standardization provides many vital services directly related to citizens' lives, which requires the adoption of robust electronic mechanisms to ensure the quality and efficiency of these services." He directed "the completion of all administrative, legal, and technical procedures related to establishing the organization's electronic platform, with the possibility of leveraging the experience of the electronic government advertising platform previously launched by the Ministry of Planning, which has become an important window for providing three basic services: advertising, promotion, and document sales."
He continued, "The meeting witnessed in-depth discussions that addressed the various administrative, legal, and technical aspects necessary for establishing the electronic platform for the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control."
