On Friday, the Children's Culture House discussed the phenomenon of child labor with the Baghdad Women's Advisory Team.
Ismail Suleiman Hassan, Director General of the Children's Culture House, said, "The Children's Culture House received the Baghdad Women's Advisory Team, which supports local governments, headed by Warood Naji. They discussed ways of joint cooperation in areas related to the reality of children and programs aimed at serving this important segment."
He explained that "during the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of vital topics, most notably the phenomenon of child labor from legal and social perspectives, in addition to promoting integrated education for children with disabilities. They emphasized the importance of the role of cultural institutions in spreading awareness and public education." He noted that "the team is one of five advisory councils working within civil society organizations, in partnership with the Baghdad Provincial Council (Family and Child Department)."
He pointed out that "one of the goals of the Children's Culture House, which falls within its overall strategy, is to activate areas of cooperation with government institutions and civil society organizations on issues that serve Iraqi childhood," indicating that "this meeting is a real opportunity to unify efforts to confront the challenges that directly affect children."
He emphasized that "the House is fully prepared to harness its cultural and artistic capabilities, including theater, seminars, and workshops, to support awareness-raising and educational efforts that contribute to protecting children and building an informed and empowered generation."
He continued, "Both parties emphasized the importance of continued communication and joint coordination, and the activation of programs and initiatives that contribute to spreading community awareness and supporting children in various cultural, educational, and social aspects."
