Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis affirmed on Thursday that Iraq has played an important role at the regional level, noting that his country seeks to establish a new working partnership between the two countries.
The Swiss minister said in a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, monitored by the Iraq Times: "Iraq has changed for the better," indicating that "his country seeks to deepen its bilateral relations in various fields."
He added that "Iraq enjoys a balanced and neutral regional role," noting that "Switzerland has established a new working partnership with Iraq."
