Washington, October 23 - White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said Thursday that a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin is not completely out of the question.
"I think the president and the entire administration hope that it will happen again someday, but we want to make sure that this meeting produces a positive, tangible outcome," she said at a press conference.
Trump announced Wednesday that he had canceled a scheduled meeting with Putin due to the lack of progress in diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
The White House says the possibility of a meeting between Trump and Putin remains.
