Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia has launched more than 770 ballistic missiles and about 50 Kinzhal missiles at Ukraine since the beginning of the year.
Ukrainian reports indicated on Saturday that the Russian military had again struck targets in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, with ballistic missiles.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko posted on Telegram that at least six people were injured. In addition, several fires broke out in the eastern part of the city, which is home to 3 million people.
The thermal power plants located there were again targeted by ballistic missiles, according to unofficial information.
Zelenskyy explained on Saturday (October 25, 2025), "Russia launched another attack on Ukraine last night, this time with dozens of attack drones and nine ballistic missiles."
He explained, "There was a missile strike on Kyiv, and now almost every attack against our people involves complex strikes using ballistic missiles."
The Ukrainian president added, "Since the beginning of this year alone, Russia has launched nearly 770 ballistic missiles and more than 50 Kinzhal missiles against Ukraine."
He added, "It is precisely because of these attacks that we are paying special attention to the Patriot systems, so that we can protect our cities from this horror. It is crucial that partners with the relevant capabilities implement what we have discussed in recent days."
He emphasized, "No country should be left alone in the face of such evil. We must continue our cooperation. Everything is doable." He noted that Ukraine's partners possess "the necessary systems and can already help defend Ukraine."
He concluded, "America, Europe, and the G7 countries can help ensure that such attacks no longer threaten lives. Russia's ballistic strikes must be met with a response from powerful nations in genuine cooperation to protect lives."
