On Monday, the international website World Population Review revealed the average age of first marriage in Iraq for the year 2025.
The website stated in a report that "the average age of first marriage in Iraq is 25.3 years, ranking sixth among Arab countries with the lowest age for first marriage."
It added that "Somalia ranked first among Arab countries with an average age of 20.6 years, followed by Eritrea in second place with 20.7 years, Sudan in third place with 21.9 years, Yemen in fourth place with 23 years, and Egypt in fifth place with 25 years. Iraq ranked sixth with an average age of 25.3 years."
It continued, "The UAE ranked seventh with an average age of 25.6 years, followed by Morocco in eighth place with 25.7 years, Saudi Arabia in ninth place with 25.9 years, and Palestine in tenth place with 26.2 years."
Globally, the website indicated that "Colombia recorded the lowest average age for first marriage at 18.1 years, followed by Tanzania at 19 years, then Liberia at 19.1 years, while Spain topped the list of countries with the highest average age, with an average of 38.8 years, followed by Chile at 37.8 years."
Iraq is among the Arab countries with the lowest age for first marriage.
