The Iraqi Meteorological Organization announced on Friday the weather forecast for the coming days, predicting temperatures below 30 degrees Celsius in five provinces.
A statement from the organization, received by Iraq Times Agency, indicated that "Saturday will be clear, becoming partly cloudy overnight in the northern region. Temperatures will be similar to those in the central and northern regions, decreasing slightly in the south."
The statement continued, "The maximum temperatures for Saturday in all Iraqi provinces are as follows: Dohuk 27 degrees Celsius, Sulaymaniyah and Erbil 28 degrees Celsius, Nineveh and Anbar 29 degrees Celsius, Kirkuk 30 degrees Celsius, Baghdad, Salah al-Din, Diyala, and Karbala 31 degrees Celsius, Najaf, Wasit, Muthanna, and Diwaniyah 32 degrees Celsius, and Babylon, Maysan, Dhi Qar, and Basra 33 degrees Celsius."
The statement added, "Sunday will be clear with some high clouds appearing in scattered areas of the country. Temperatures will be similar to the previous day in all parts of Iraq." He indicated that "next Monday will be clear with some clouds appearing in the northern region, and temperatures will be generally similar."
He added that "Tuesday's weather will be clear across the country, with temperatures similar to the previous day in all regions."
