The commander of Baghdad Operations, Lieutenant General Walid Khalifa al-Tamimi, confirmed on Sunday that all areas and outskirts of the capital are fully secured, noting that the voting process is proceeding smoothly.

Al-Tamimi stated that "the special voting process is proceeding very smoothly, and units have been deployed in shifts, some on their assigned duties and others casting their votes." He explained that "all polling centers are secured, and there is a high degree of security force efficiency."

He added that "all areas and outskirts of Baghdad are fully secured," pointing out that "security forces are being transported in shifts via dedicated buses."

He mentioned that "the transportation of personnel will continue until all ballot boxes are closed," noting that "there are no obstacles to the voting process, and the voting of security forces personnel is proceeding in an orderly manner."
