The commission: Using biometric cameras to solve the problem of some fingerprints not appearing
The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced on Tuesday that it has resolved the issue of some fingerprints not appearing using biometric cameras.

The head of the IHEC's media team, Imad Jamil, stated, according to the official news agency, that "the peak voting period is after 10:00 AM and continues, with another peak occurring between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM."

He added, "The turnout of voters in outlying and rural areas is currently encouraging, and we are continuing to receive citizens," expressing his hope for "a good turnout today."

He noted that "the participation of voters in the special voting is a promising sign, and I believe that participation in the general election will be good," urging citizens of all sects to "participate in the elections and cast their votes to shape the future of Iraq."

He explained that "the fingerprint issue has been resolved by using a camera with verification devices. Fingerprints that do not appear are replaced with facial images that match the image in the biometric registry. The process of photographing all voters who possess a biometric card continues." He pointed out that "the registration center staff were well trained to master the procedures, and the development, maintenance, and addition of software to the equipment contributed to achieving this good result."
