Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani cast his vote this morning in the general election for the sixth federal parliamentary elections at a polling station in Salahaddin (Pirmam).
In a statement to the media, the Prime Minister explained that this day represents the will and decision of the citizens. He expressed his hope that voters would be able to exercise their right to vote in a safe and free environment and that they would choose representatives who are sincere and patriotic to represent them in the Iraqi Parliament, so that they may bear the responsibility of defending their legitimate and constitutional rights.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of participating in the elections, stressing the need for the people to make their decisions freely and without any pressure. He affirmed that the people's choice today will determine the features and approach of governance for the next four years. He also called on the Independent High Electoral Commission to safeguard the voters' ballots and handle them with complete integrity until the completion of the electoral process.
