US President Donald Trump announced the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, who were taken out of Venezuela following a "successful" large-scale US attack. He indicated that details would be released later at a press conference.
Trump stated on the Truth Social platform that "the United States of America successfully executed a large-scale strike on Venezuela and its president, Nicolás Maduro, who was captured along with his wife and taken out of the country."
Trump added that he would hold a press conference at 11:00 AM (16:00 GMT) at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
