The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces launched a massive strike last night, including using the Oreshnik missile, against vital Ukrainian facilities in response to Kyiv's attack on the Russian president's residence. In a statement released Friday morning, the ministry said: "In response to the terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime on the Russian president's residence in the Novgorod region on the night of December 29, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a massive strike using long-range, high-precision land- and sea-launched weapons, including the mobile, ground-based Oreshnik medium-range missile system, as well as drones, against vital targets in Ukraine."
The statement confirmed that the strike achieved its objectives, hitting facilities producing the drones used in the terrorist attack (on Putin's residence), as well as energy infrastructure facilities that support the operation of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
The Russian Defense Ministry emphasized that "any terrorist acts committed by the criminal Ukrainian regime will not go unanswered."
