Zakho will be looking for three points when they host Bahrain's Sitra on Wednesday in the sixth and final round of the Gulf Champions League, aiming to maintain their lead in Group A.
The highly anticipated match will kick off at 8:30 PM, with Omani referee Saeed Al-Muzaini officiating, assisted by Mohammed Al-Ghazali, Omar Al-Alawi, Omar Al-Yaqoubi, Mohammed Al-Mazeed, and Yousef Aref.
Zakho currently sits atop the group with 10 points, followed by Al-Ain of the UAE in second place with 9 points, and Al-Qadsia of Kuwait in third with 7 points. Sitra is at the bottom of the group with 2 points.
Although Zakho secured their place in the semi-finals two rounds ago, their top spot is now under threat after their loss to Al-Qadsia in the previous round. They are just one point behind Al-Ain, who will face Al-Qadsia in a battle for the second qualifying spot.
Zakho aspires to achieve victory in order to hold onto first place, while today’s match is a mere formality for the Bahraini team, which has officially bid farewell to the competition.
Today, Zakho faces Bahrain's Sitra tonight, aiming for the top spot in the Gulf group.
