The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced today, Saturday, that official working hours will be suspended next Wednesday in observance of the anniversary of the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
In a statement, the Secretariat said that "Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zubaidi has directed that official working hours be suspended in all government institutions on Wednesday, August 12, 2026."
It explained that "the directive coincides with the anniversary of the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family)."
The Prime Minister has directed that official working hours be suspended next Wednesday in commemoration of the death of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
