The governor of Russia’s Samara region said on Saturday that Ukrainian drones targeted an industrial facility and a warehouse belonging to Ozone, one of Russia’s largest e-commerce companies, overnight.
Samara Governor Vyacheslav Fedoryshev said in a Telegram post that several people were injured in the attacks. He did not name the targeted industrial facility, but the region is home to several oil refineries that have been repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian forces.
Ozone, Russia’s second-largest e-commerce company, said in a Telegram statement that operations at its logistics center in the town of Chapaevsk, Samara region, were suspended after the attack, which it said caused injuries.
This is the first attack on Ozone so far, following weeks of attacks on its larger competitor, Wild Berries, which Ukraine has described as part of a broader campaign against economic infrastructure supporting Russia’s military campaign.
The Russian Defense Ministry said it shot down 457 Ukrainian drones overnight.
