Britain raised its terror alert level on Friday following an attack outside a synagogue in Manchester that left two people dead and three injured. Police announced that some of the victims may have been shot during the response to the terror attack.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited the site of the stabbing and car-ramming incident in northwest England, confirming increased security measures at Jewish places of worship across the country.
The attack occurred on Thursday, Yom Kippur, the most important day in the Hebrew calendar. Three people were injured, and police confirmed the attacker's death and declared the incident a "terrorist act."
