Launch of the Iraq International Conference for Innovation and Creativity
The Iraq International Conference for Innovation and Creativity kicked off today, Saturday.
"The Iraq International Conference for Innovation and Creativity was launched under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, and attended by other government figures, including Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, President of the Arab World Congress for Innovation."

In this regard, the representative of the Prime Minister's advisor, Aqil al-Khazali, said in a speech during the Iraq International Conference for Innovation and Creativity, which was monitored by the Iraq Times, that "international indicators confirm that the innovation and creativity economy exceeded $7 trillion last year," noting that "developed countries spend 4% of their GDP on technology and innovation budgets."
He added that "the GDP resulting from innovation has reached $2.4 trillion," noting that "there are Arab countries that spend nothing on research and development."
Al-Khazaali explained, "We must keep pace with the development movement, which requires new thinking to confront the West's superiority in this field. This conference is the beginning of a movement toward innovation and new revelation, so that we can have a new vision and decision. We must establish a culture of self-sufficiency in creative resources, innovation, and the preservation of wealth."
