A spokeswoman for the German Interior Ministry said on Monday that the Taliban government in Afghanistan has agreed in principle to repatriate Afghan citizens from Germany to their country.
"The Afghan government has agreed in principle to repatriate them by air if it is verified that the people we are repatriating are Afghan citizens," the spokeswoman said.
She added that Berlin is only in technical contact with representatives of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, nothing more.
